Local Roots. Community First.

Hi, I'm Emiliano Rosas! West Sacramento has been my home for more than 20 years. Growing up in Broderick and Bryte, I deeply understand the challenges that affect our community.

I am running for City Council to strengthen our neighborhoods, build affordable housing, address the homelessness crisis, and make sure our families can flourish in the place we call home.

We’re grateful for your donations!

Addressing The Homelessness Crisis

The most pressing challenge facing our community is homelessness. While West Sacramento has made some progress in proactively reaching out to the homeless, we must do more to help people transition from the streets to programs that offer resources and a path to self-sufficiency.

Safe Neighborhoods Thrive

Keeping our neighborhoods safe is one of my top priorities. Our families, local businesses, and youth need safe neighborhoods to thrive. I aim to build on our successes and expand proven programs that deliver positive results for our youth and neighborhoods.

Sidewalks and Street Lights

I find it disappointing that many of our neighborhoods don't have adequate sidewalks or street lighting infrastructure. The absence of this infrastructure creates significant challenges for wheelchair users, parents with strollers, our seniors, and all pedestrians. Prioritizing safe mobility in our community means investing in comprehensive improvements to sidewalks and streetlights, creating a walkable, well-lit, and inclusive environment where everyone can move freely and securely.

Support Our Local Businesses

We boast over 50 businesses along Sacramento Avenue and Reed Ave, ranging from small businesses to large corporations. The modernization of Sacramento Avenue presents a unique opportunity to bolster local businesses and encourage restaurant growth on the north side of town.
